A Cure For Toothache

Toothaches can be very painful and going to the dentist to find a cure for toothache can be expensive. Some people, especially children, are even afraid to go to the dentist. So how will you cure your toothache in this situation?

Well here’s good news for you. There are simple and natural or herbal toothache medicines or home remedies that are inexpensive and they are proven to work too!

One of the best and least expensive medicines to soothe a raging tooth is salt water solution.  Salt and water is also always immediately available wherever you go. Salt water can have an osmotic effect to your teeth and remove offending bacteria from your teeth. You can also use warm salt water then rinse your mouth afterwards with Listerine Antiseptic Mouthwash. This can be an effective means of taking the pain away in minutes.

Another natural cure for toothache is tea tree oil. The oil found in tea tree contains an antibacterial component and is the second best cure, next to salt water solution, for tooth and gum pain.

You apply the oil directly to the affected teeth or gum. Or you can rinse your mouth with water and tea tree oil. It also has an advantage of being easily carried along in your pocket in case you need it. However, make sure that you use organic tea tree oil because non-organic varieties can contain high levels of toxic pesticide residues.

Ginger root is also a good natural cure for toothache and it is cheap too. It is also readily available; you can buy it at any grocery store. This is also very effective and can provide you with instant toothache relief. All you have to do is cut off a piece of ginger root then remove the skin and apply the ginger piece directly to the painful tooth. And if you can, you can also bite down on the ginger piece and then chew it slowly to swill the ginger juice around the aching tooth. Or if you can find Echinacea root then this can also be a good toothache remedy.

Plantain leaves are also a good toothache remedy. You just crush or chew the fresh leaves and then place it on the aching tooth. You can also mix it with some salt, though salt is just an option. You can just use plantain leaves if you prefer and it will still have the same effect.

Another readily available natural toothache remedy is clove. Clove oil has bactericidal and analgesic effect that can help relieve toothache and even cure gum infections. You can use clove oil on the aching tooth or gum or you can just apply a fresh piece of clove on the aching teeth or gum. The latter is more effective.

These are just some natural cures for toothache that are inexpensive and readily available. Cleaning your teeth is still the best way to avoid toothache. And remember, if the pain is too severe, you might need to consult your dentist.
